About Us

The Indonesian Development Foundation (IDF) was established in 2016 by individuals with diverse backgrounds in the public and private sectors. United by a shared vision, the founders aimed to collaboratively foster Indonesia's growth through human resource development.

Throughout its journey, the IDF has prioritized the development of socio-economic aspects. This commitment is demonstrated through collaborations with government agencies, such as the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, to establish a management system for cooperatives and small and medium enterprises. This system, known as the MyKUMKM Application, aims to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in managing cooperatives’ businesses.

IDF has been steadily strengthening its efforts to actively contribute to accelerating the country's development process by forging partnerships with the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas). The collaboration began with the development of a strategic analysis program that focused on critical sectors including agriculture, community economics, health, and various other vital areas.

The IDF's activities have extended to various regions across Indonesia. In the eastern part of the country, the IDF has established collaboration with the Papua Provincial Government to enhance the capacity of local government officials in human resources development. Additionally, IDF has been appointed by the Biak Regency Government to devise strategies in the fields of economy, education, and tourism, highlighting its significant role in the region. Moreover, the IDF actively engages with the private sector, including a collaboration with PT Signify Indonesia in the renewable energy sector, specifically targeting local governments.

In line with the rapid advancements in technology and information, which coincide with developments in politics, economy, socio-culture, environment, and various other aspects of life, the IDF has intensified its efforts to contribute and enhance its capacity to engage in human resource development for communities and institutions. This is achieved through the application of information and communication technology as a means of providing services.

All the initiatives undertaken by the IDF are driven by our firm belief and trust in the significance of improving human resources and natural resources, as well as fostering sustainable development processes that prioritize societal well-being, equality, and the equitable distribution of development outcomes. We recognize that these elements play a crucial role in achieving the continuity of sustainable development.

IDF has proactively responded to this phenomenon by adopting several strategies to support Indonesia's development process. These strategies include:

  • Acting as a catalyst and innovator in the development of civil and community human resources, implementing these principles within the organization itself.

  • Enhancing the capacity and quality of the organization's work by providing increased consulting services in various sectors that contribute to development, such as social, agricultural, health, and economic sectors.

  • Fostering strategic partnerships with both the government and private sector to amplify their contributions towards achieving sustainable development in urgent sectors that address community needs.

These strategies have been integrated into IDF's mission, which revolves around supporting the improvement of human resources, natural resources, socio-economic conditions, and equality in Indonesia's sustainable development. The organization aims to achieve this through capacity building, resource mobilization, efficient management, and equitable distribution of resources. Furthermore, IDF emphasizes the importance of fostering balanced cooperation between development sectors and increasing public participation in development programs across diverse fields.
