Database Management System (DBMS) or not infrequently also called Database Management System (SMBD), is a system or software designed to manage a database and perform operations on data requested by many users.

Now, this DBMS instrument has become very important to be applied in all government and private institutions. Data storage in the form of a DBMS has many benefits and advantages compared to storage in the form of a spreadsheet. The Directorate General of Regional Administration (Ditjen Binas Adwil) is well aware of this situation, which clearly has a strategic role in supporting the tasks of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) of the Republic of Indonesia. This Directorate carries out some of the tasks of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the area of regional administration.

This institution has the responsibility as well as being an umbrella for regional units, such as the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol), the Community Protection Unit (Satlinmas), and the Fire Fighting Unit (Satdamkar).

So, in order to modernize, effectively and efficiently carry out tasks, and to support accurate data collection for each of these units throughout Indonesia, with the instructions and directions from the Directorate General of Regional Development, YPI was asked to design an application that could be used to collect data for all these units. earlier.

With the presentation of this application, in addition to the fast data collection process, it also allows Satpol PP, Satlinmas, and Satdamkar to receive information or directions from the center (DG Bina Adwil). For example, related to the implementation of the tasks of each unit in the field. On the other hand, each unit can also provide reports from the field, either in the form of narratives or pictures directly from the location.
Moreover, with this application, it is hoped that the Directorate General of Regional Development will be able to list units in the field throughout Indonesia. Complete can also be seen the profile of each unit. Then, it becomes urgent again because the Center – in this case the Directorate General of Advil and Regional Development – can continuously receive updates on conditions in the field.
