The IDF is committed to contributing to Indonesia's sustainable development through various programs aimed at improving the economic status of communities. One such initiative involves the voluntary participation of foreign experts who share their knowledge and expertise.

This program focuses on capacity building for local organizations, public and private institutions, as well as communities engaged in economic activities. Additionally, the volunteer program aims to distribute development by providing local experts (i.e., local volunteers) to support organizations and communities in suburban areas, outer islands, and marginal areas. Its objective is to enhance its capacity in business management and development across sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, tourism, and more. Looking ahead, the YPI envisions extending the Indonesian volunteer scheme to share the expertise of Indonesian experts with other developing countries across various sectors.
